Christchurch International Airport Retail Expansion Centre

Architecture firm Sheppard and Rout wanted to enhance the new expansion area with smooth evenly distributed natural light but not at the expense of solar heat and thermal gain. Security was also an issue and transparent glass did not meet either criteria. Sheppard and Rout selected the Kalwall 70mm translucent panel - Thermal Value: R1.9 as it solved their issues all in one. Free span panels to 3.8m high meant undiluted natural diffused and glare free light flowing in to the retail area which has the Client ecstatic about the end result.
